Haven't Heard From McCombs Yet! Should I Be Worried?

Hey Guys,

I was admitted to UT Austin in November or so. I am a resident of Texas (in-state applicant) and I am in the top 4% of my class. I put McCombs as my first choice and as of now, 1/4/2011, my application is still currently under review. I submitted my application in october or so. 3 months have passed and I still haven't heard from them regarding my acceptance for my major. A lot of people I know go their acceptances frm their individual schools (mainly engineering and natural sciences) is this because its easier to get into these schools? Any help or advice is appreciated I am really worried!

Thanks

If you’re not an auto-admit to Mccombs, then I don’t think you will find out until Februrary.

NatSci and Engineering take in a lot of people very quickly, its true. The numbers accepted are high, but it dwindles over the course of 4 years when people decide it’s not for them. Business students past 2% in their class get their acceptances a little later I’ve heard, but I’m sure you’re fine. Good luck!
