Haven't received any info about merit aid/scholarships...

Has the deadline passed for when I would expect to hear something? I applied to LSA EA and got in in December. I received some merit based aid from another school I got into and I mean I was hoping to get some from Michigan too.

Many have already been rewarded, but there are still more to come. This comes right from their website (for college of LSA): “Students will be notified via mail between January and mid-April if they have been awarded an LSA scholarship.”

How is your stat?

3.95 GPA/34 ACT. I feel like that’s decent…

Thanks for Googling that for me! lol

@pencilpen7 That is great stat for admission, but probably not enough for merit scholarship. ACT 34 is the 75th percentile while GPA 3.95 is also around that level too.

My GPA is 3.95 unweighted and 4.4 something weighted. Does that change things?

@pencilpen7 Go check your portal. It should have updated the financial aid summary.

@pencilpen7 There is no standard in wGPA. For uwGPA (in UMich’s way of recalculation), they have over 20% enrolled freshmen with 4.0 from high school.

Wow I had no idea… Thanks for the info.

pencilpen, one can never predict the way scholarships will go at Michigan since there are very few given out and no clear or set GPA and standardized test score combination that will ensure qualification of scholarship. As billcsho suggests, most large scholarships tend to go to students with extremely strong credentials by Michigan standards (35-36 ACT, 2300+ on the SAT and a GPA to match), but the majority of such applicants do not receive a scholarship from Michigan anyway.

Did anyone get the Bell scholarship?
