Hi everyone, I got into the three top LACs in the title, and I have a bit trouble deciding where to go.

I intend to take a poli sci/IR major and maybe double economics, and I am definitely a prelaw student.

I understand that Bowdoin has great resources in terms of law, but I also love Vassar's open curriculum, especially after Brown's rejection......And I suppose that Vassar also has great poli sci courses-maybe not as good as Bowdoin's government department but still very strong.

i think with those academic interests, i would choose bowdoin. bowdoin’s curriculum is essentially open. the distribution requirements are amazingly broad.

all great, but for poli sci / IR, i’d go with bowdoin.

just that the distribution requirements are broadly stated and the courses in all subjects are diverse enough that it feels fairly open. basically, i didn’t think once about fulfilling them as a student there. i just took what interested me and i naturally fulfilled them.

Vassar’s open curriculum is great. S1 is a double major and also declared a correlate(minor). I think this could help your son in law school admissions. Think about the atmosphere on campus and which schools suits you best. S1 liked them all but it was clear that Vassar was the best for him. Visiting helped him decide. These three schools have different vibes. Hope you can visit.
