Do we really need to provide school transcripts/reports for ALL 12 YEARS OF STUDY we have completed?? 'Cause I'm not entirely sure I can get anything pre-dating 7th grade... I read this on the EducationUSA wesbite and am hyperventilating right now...!

"As a general rule, American universities and colleges expect international applicants’ records to reflect at least 12 years of primary and secondary schooling..."

Also, maybe Gossip Girl's just got me freaked out, but will getting 2 C's in year 11 really jeopardize my college career?? I'm just adjusting to a new school so it won't happen again but... for cereal? (lol) Am not planning to apply HYP, only to LACs.

Help plz?

EDIT: I may be reading that quote incorrectly now that I think of it... Any opinions?

High school transcripts are required only from 9-12 will do all. and secondly, well u can not say what will get u in? Many a times, I have seen students getting with lower grades against those with A’s n all. Thing is which part of you application impresses the admission committee. U need to be perfect on all grounds.

“12 years of primary and secondary schooling” means that it is expected that you will have fully completed your secondary education. In the US, students normally complete 12 years of schooling (most, in fact have 13 since almost everyone goes to Kindergarten for one year before beginning 1st grade). The academic records (transcripts) that you submit to the colleges/universities should include the last 4 years (or the equivalent of grades 9 through 12).

Occasionally students will begin full college/university studies without completing their secondary education. If you should fall into that category, you will need to discuss your specific reasons for seeking “early admission” with the college/university in question.

Thanks, happymomof1, that really helped! And, yeah, I’ll have done 14 years actually Kindy, Pre-Primary then Years 1-12 upon graduating. Too long. WAY too long! lol :P
