<p>Okay...I know many of you will probably want to kill me for this question, but I need to ask it, and calm my mind. Well, as a lot of you know, I got into UCF. Yes, a miracle. Am I happy? Happy doesn't even BEGIN to cover it. Many of you are aware of the fact that I'm out of state (Illinois) but was born in Florida, as well as the fact that I have the pre-paid program, meaning I'm instate. As well, of course, as tuition being covered. Originally, I knew this was a GREAT thing. I love UCF, it matches my personality, and I won't be paying the ridiculous amount in tuition, if I was to attend school here. However, my friends have begun 'poisoning my mind' or so my psychology teacher says.
They state that that added expenses of transportation will out weigh the savings of no tuition. I would be coming home twice a year, during christmas and summer. They claim that the cost of it will be much, much too expensive, and I'll end up spending more money then I would on tuition here. It's really getting to me, and I still believe having tuition covered is a very good deal. Can I get some help? What do you all think? Do you really think the expenses of plain/train tickets, twice a year, will end up costing more then tuition? Thank you for the help!</p>

<p>I don’t know where you live or any other details, but a quick search shows that the most expensive round trip flight right now is $380. That’s a total of $760 per year. </p>

<p>I don’t know how much your scholarship is for either, but I doubt this eats all of that benefit up.</p>
<p>Two round trips to visit your home should not be as expensive as your friends are telling you fluidity.</p>
<p>And plus, like just think about it…WRITEfluidity, you just got into the college of your dreams AND you don’t even have to pay as an out of state student! As a matter of fact, you stated that you already have tuition covered. THAT IS AMAZING!! :D</p>
<p>If I were you, I’d ignore anyone who is trying to prevent you or give you doubt to go attend UCF. This is your dream school, your life, your happiness, your desire, your choice. </p>
<p>If you feel that you’d have serious financial difficulties, then it’s understandable that you would be hesitant. But I mean, I don’t think there’s much difficulty when you’re paying as an in-state student AND the fact that you can still get scholarships while in college. Plus, if you still need money in college, you can always get a part time job and save up!</p>
<p>I don’t know WHAT I was thinking. The both of you are right, and that much is clear. Why on earth would I even consider attending a college year (When I dislike all I can be accepted to) and pay about $10,000, for tuition only, for a tier 4 school? I would be an IDIOT not to attend UCF, the college I love, in florida, and not even have to worry about tuition. Thank you very much, the both of you, for making me see sense. Now that I’ve been accepted, I guess I’m just getting fairly nervous of all the added stress now. However, this is the best choice for me, personally, and in the sense of money. This is my choice, and I will not allow anyone to change my mind:)</p>

<p>I was only getting nervous, because I really had to consider what they were saying. It was a slight moment of, “Am I doing the right thing here?”. I realize that I am doing the right thing.</p>

<p>Check out Allegiant Air at allegiantair.com. You’ll be surprised at how cheap you can get some flights and most are non-stop. Also, I saw your question before about storing your stuff during school holidays. On the UCF Housing website, they have a list of storage companies close by and what they charge for a unit.</p>

<p>You love UCF. That should be enough. I know what you mean though. Some of my friends are trying to talk me out of it kind of, not on purpose. But they keep raving about the whole Penn State issue. Too bad I’ve never been a PSU fan. Lol. Anyway back to the point. Spirit airlines (spirit.com) has great prices on flights. They also have this membership that is $60 a year, and you get access to deals like flights for $9. I know people who use this and they LOVE it. The only problem with this, is that the deals don’t last long, so when you see it - book it! Hope this helps! Go Knights!!</p>
<p>WRITEfluidity, I think it’s probably just being overwhelmed by the idea of it all. Completely normal. 
I can see from your posts that you worked hard to get in to UCF and congrats on being accepted! </p>
<p>I can’t see how a couple of flights per year are going to outweigh anything financially, not to mention you clearly want to go to UCF, but there are some cheap alternatives for students if you don’t mind flying standby. Check out Airtran U if it flies where you are going, for 18-22 year olds they charge $49, $69 or $99 per segment depending on time and destination.(Saturdays and Wednesdays are traditionally good times to fly standby.) Holidays can be tough, but it might get you home a few extra non-busy weekends for cheap.</p>

minute total round trip flight from Disney to O’Hare
and back for under $100.</p>
