Hi I'm currently a junior who's taking APUSH.
My teacher is lazy as hell but people love him since he's cool. (By cool I mean lazy.)
People who actually "care" about learning though, are always complaining about him and it just sucks.
But the thing is, everyone in my class has an A+
Why? Because we found the tests online and all the answers are on there also. ( on quizlet..lol)
It seems like my teacher kinda knows it too cuz everyone ace the tests yet
do not have any information on the materials. But he doesn't give a poo.
I feel like I'm just taking the class to get an A -.- i mean it's good but like.. idk..
I hate history but I at least wanted to learn something. I feel like i'm just self-studying the whole thing and it's just super tiring. any advice ?

Do you really want your teacher to get his s*** together, start giving you several hours of homework a night, and start failing you?

Don’t you guys fail the essays?

Lol I actually do want him to be harsh and stuff. oh well. We don’t fail the essays cuz he only gives us DBQs haha i guess i should be happy about it.

Its like that for me in HUSH!

DBQs still require a wealth of information about the subject, so unless you do actually study on your own I have no idea how you could possibly be doing well on the DBQ portion of the tests, and consequently the test itself.

Also, if you’re planning on taking the AP exam, which costs about $90 last time I checked, wouldn’t you want your teacher to step up his game and actually teach you a thing or two?

I’m not taking the AP exam haha have too much exams to take. But i do read the book and study myself so I’m ahead of my class (: Essays are easy for me and also the tests. It’s just that everyone has the answers so they don’t feel the need to study and my teacher doesn’t teach at all since he thinks that everyone is already too “smart”. I guess me posting here was pointless LOL. well thank you guys anyways!

My APUSH teacher didn’t use questions online for our tests, but they were ridiculously easy. As a result, everyone cruised through the.class but didn’t fare well on the AP exam. Only like 5 people, including me, passed (Got a 4). So word of caution: Dont take any AP exam as a joke.

The AP test for USH is relatively easy. I had the same situation as you where my teacher did nothing during class except ramble on about his personal affairs. So I slept.

I ended up with a 5 on the AP test by self-studying the day before…

If you want to learn something, you don’t need a teacher to teach it to you.

Remember that in the end, it’s all on the individual. If you’re in it for the easy A, then sure whatever you won’t have learned anything and you might fail the AP test. If you want to learn, well tough luck. That’s life. Learn it yourself, I guess.
