AAh! APUSH! lol.

My APUSH class is great but don't you guys hate it when an AP class only grades on 3 or 4 assessments a term and weigh them so much that if you screw one or two assessments up UR screwed. lol. Reply if u feel me!!

yah, my two grades in APUSH for this semester are one paper and participation.

My teacher gives multiple choice tests EVERY week, but they're only around 15-25 points each, so if you miss only 4 or 5 questions your grade goes down.

APUSH was my only bad grade this semester...which was disappointing.

yea, at the beginning of the term, i had two one page papers with a 350 owrd limit. my teacher graded them harder thean college level (he taught history at drew U b4 teachin us) and so on my first i got an A-. I was souped. on the second one, however, he gave me a C- for grammatical errors. GRAMMATICAL ERRORS!!!!!!

it's worse when it's based off a subjective assessment of your teacher liking you.

My teacher actually tells us her grades aren't based off "averages" or "numbers"...okay?

Basically, if you got 100's on all her essays (again subjective-she thinks the Civil War was between Germany and America....and that Benjamin Franklin was a president, and grades accordingly...she also tells us not to use "big words" with more than 2 syllables...), but she hates you at the end of the term, you'll get an 89 to keep you from AP next year.

and vice versa.

Essays in APUSH suck because they're so formulaic. I get A's and A-'s in AP Literature essays, but I get C's and C-'s on APUSH essays because I get "zero points for not adding Transition #3" or "In intro paragraph, the main points are not in separate sentences."

gee, i thought i had it bad. my apush teacher likes me so it's all good. his class is great, but i just have to keep kickin my butt and trying harder and harder until i get to a point where i know how to study for AP history classes to get good grades.

p.s. i'm not failing. just not doin as well as i'd like seeing as i work really hard.
