having awfully hard time in AP Calc AB

I am an international student who is currently taking AP calculus AB in my senior year and other rigorous classes such as AP Chem, AP Economics, AP Enlgish Literature, and two language classes.

BUT, I am having the most hard time , i assume, in my whole school. We have started derivative chapters, which I got 100 in my test. But as we go further to the application ( word problems), I am getting like 60 percent ( i think in current test).

Well the problem is, we are almost at the end of our semester. I am gonna get like C or maybe high D, because my first quarter grade was like B-.

There is no way to transfer out of the class since we only have like one week or 2 weeks, but it's gonna look terrible on my mid-year report.

I don't wat to do... I did really well in my precal, but Calculus is owning my life right now...

Plz give me any advice other than saying I suck at math :( even when I am Asian ( stupid stereotype).

I am in the same situation so I feel your pain.

Just try to do better next semester.

well, thanx for at least being nice unlike that jerk above you, Rugters something?,

anyway, but second semester isn't gonna count for admission decision though.. >.<

So i guess this is what ppl call " life"?

The best advice I can give is to talk to the teacher. What word problems exactly do you not understand? Related rates? Or motion? Although cc is no substitute for a math teacher, I'm sure people on this board would be more than happy to help out with problems if you posted them.

Good luck,

if it's not blocked, the site A Study Community for Homework Help in Physics, Math, Science, and Engineering has some really good tips for math classes.

and I clicked on "report problem post" so hopefully that issue will be taken care of.
