Having lunch in a dining room without a meal plan?

<p>Hi everybody,</p>

<p>I was wondering if it was possible to pay by cash in a dining hall and have a decent lunch/dinner without purchasing a meal plan. If it is doable, does anybody know how much it costs ?</p>

<p>Yes you can use BRBs or cash. It costs ~9-11 dollars approximately depending on the dining hall.</p>

<p>Someone else I know did the math, so feel free to double check this, but I believe paying for each meal individually ends up being cheaper than the meal plan if you do only dinner every day at the dining halls. I forget the cutoff where the meal plan becomes “worth it”, but unless you are really taking advantage of the dining halls, there is a good chance the meal plan is not most economic.</p>
