As the title suggests, by the time I apply for UC’s for the Fall of 2017, I will have over 110 units. Will having this many units not let me get accepted anywhere because of the 60 unit limit?
Nah, I just got accepted into every UC except Berkeley which I am waiting on and I have 113 units not including ones from this Spring
You’re fine if they’re all lower Dickson courses. If your courses are all from a community college, they’re all lower division. You can have a million lower division and be fine, but if you have a lot of lower division classes and even a single upper division, you could be in bad shape.
Lower division non-UC courses will only give up to 70 semester or 105 quarter units for the purpose of transfer credit or the unit limitations, although all courses will count for subject credit.
Don’t fret. You can take as many units at a CC because they are lower division classes. If you ever transfer from an university with upper division classwork then you’ll have to be careful. The transfer cap is 70 but they’ll acknowledge any classes you’ve taken.
Haha, I basically regurgitate previous replies.
