Ok this year I'm taking all AP classes; AP Gov, AP Chem, AP Eng, and AP Calc. I have A's and B's in all of them except AP Calc as of now I'm failing (62). I started off good with an A for like the first two Units, then there was some disconnect. The previous test we took was awful; I had no idea what to do. On top of that I make a lot of small mistakes for instance we took a quiz on all derivatives I got a 66 on it. All my math was right all my answers were right I just forgot my exponents -_-. I read this article about familiarity as far as math goes. I think I'm just familiar with the material I'm not really mastering it. We should have at least another quiz and then test before report cards I want to get at least a C on my report card so I need to do really good. Any tips on how to do good in Calc; studying tips/methods? etc.

What do you mean you forgot your exponents?

do the homework I guess? and if you don’t understand it, ask the teacher.
and before a test make sure you know approximately what will be on the test to avoid a “I had no idea what to do” situation.

If that doesn’t work, you could:
-look up practice problems online
-watch Khan Academy videos on stuff you don’t understand

Khan Academy and MIT ocw are great resources. I don’t know how freakish you are about high grades, but if I were you I would consider dropping down to AB. Calculus BC is something most people can understand if they do enough practice and spend enough time thinking about the material, if you want the high grade, you can get it.
