We just returned home from Memphis where we spent the weekend with our daughter who attends Hendrix. Memphis is a halfway point for us to meet. I fully expected to come home and read about some of the experience from the Hays weekend. Did no one here go?

My D ended up not applying for Hays. Much as she liked Hendrix, there are a couple schools she likes better. She concentrated efforts on applications for scholarships at those schools. Hopefully, someone here went to the weekend & will get good news!

I went. Quite an experience indeed! I thought my interview went well, and all the students on the campus were very welcoming. Fairly entertaining parties on my overnight as well. I have no idea if I have any actual chance at the scholarship though (4/78 is not very good odds).

Hi SplashMom!
My D decided not to apply for the Hays. Her reason was that she didn't think she'd do well in the interview (she's shy). I would have liked for her to apply, but didn't push the issue. We are counting on her receiving the AR Gov. Distinguished Scholarship, which also amounts to a full ride. That notification won't be until mid-April.

I went...I dont' think I got it though :(

Molly? Girl from somethin-Springs, OK? I think I might have been sitting across from you at the lunch table on Saturday. Just maybe.

yea haha that would be me!

A big "good luck" to each of you who attended. Please keep us updated on your plans and what school you eventually choose!

ArkansasMom, good luck to your daughter with the AR Governor's Distinguished Scholarship! What a fabulous thing for your state to offer.

Kelsmom, I'm sure your daughter will choose the school that best fits her. Good luck to her!

i'm going to Hendrix even if I don't get the Hays!

lol Molly, go Hendrix!

I'm a current freshman here, and I love it. I'm sure you'll love it here. What's your intended major?

I'm probably going to double major in biology and international relations.
