Apart from this , I've written and contributed to many open source projects.

In which field should I go for an internship next summer? . I've got offers on interesting projects in a couple of research institutes in Europe , but won't this affect my chances for an MBA??

Thanks

You have a really good chance. Keep in mind that your essays and demonstrated leadership ability will play a larger role than your GMAT scores and GPA. Also note that competition for Indians is higher than competition for other ethnicities. Harvard is looking for people who leverage the 2+2 program to change their career path, so the field you intern should be related to the field you intend to enter after you graduate from Harvard Business. Harvard is looking for students with a solid career plan.
