Headshot Help! (hurry please)

Ok so i have a big problem. I had a headshot taken during my school play by my theatre teachers husband and my theatre teacher said that if i paid ten dollars i could use it for school auditions. We decided to do this because head shots are expensive and it came out really good anyway as he is a professional photographer. The problem is this was about a month and half ago. My top choice school is Mason Gross and in order to get an audition you have to fill out a request form and with that you must submit what it calls a "professional 8x10 headshot or snapshot" I have been asking my teacher to get me the shots forever and we are now on christmas break and she is not responding to any of my emails. It's gotten to the point were i am very afraid i won't get an audition spot because they are going to fill up! My options are a) wait until after break and beg my teacher to please please please send me the shots b) wait until monday and hope that the photo studio in town is open and see if i can buy i copy of my senior portait which isn't exactly a headshot because it is in front of a flowery background and shows a bit more of my body than a normal headshot or c) try to take the best shot i can on a camera at home at hope they accept it. (I'm not really sure what they meant by headshot)

If you have any advice please help me as soon as possible!!!

snapshot sounds like you can send a snapshot, and then an 8 by 10 professional later.
My child did not apply there , but used senior portrait, we printed it 8 by10 and it was fine for all the schools applied to.

Hi…take a close photograph against a plain wall (brick always looks nice). Using a photograph program like Picasa (a free photo editing program from Google), crop and adjust the lighting, and use it to have your name imprinted on the bottom. You can also use this program to send it to Walgreens or CVS and have the photograph made in an hour (an 8x10 color is what they are looking for currently). Good luck, and feel free to pm me if you have any questions.
