Hi,
Which community would have the most collaborative and least competitive atmosphere? Also, what do the time commitments look like for each community? I am majoring in Chemistry in LSA with a goal of becoming a pharmacist, and I am coming from a small public high school so I will definitely need some time to adjust to the academic rigor at Michigan.
Thank you so much!

I know a lot of people in both programs but have not been in either. I think WISE gets the edge with collaborative environment - especially since HSSP has a disproportionate number of pre-meds, who make up one of the most competitive demographics at Michigan. Also, WISE is really close with MRC (now called MRADS), and you can benefit from those synergies.
@yikesyikesyikes Thank you so much! How similar are the WISE and MRADS communities (in addition to both being in MoJo)? I am planning on applying to MRADS as my first choice and one of the science communities as my second choice (now probably WISE).
The two communities are rather close, but there are clear differences in the themes and the amount of commitment. I think MRADS is the heavier commitment by far. MRADS is also co-ed. However, WISE people can always find guys in MRADS or the few traditional students to hang out with.
