<p>One of my Common App Supplements requires an essay, and in that essay, I have written in Russian for a few sentences. However, it does not seem to transfer the actual Russian words over when I preview it? It just comes up as "!^##(#*#&!" ANY way to fix this?! :(</p>
<p>Why are you writing in Russian? Just write its translation or use English characters to spell it.</p>
<p>It’s my native language and emphasized within the topic of the essay. Plus, where I have already written in Russian, I put the word spelled using the English characters to spell it for pronunciation purposes. It really does have a better overall effect with the Cyrillic alphabet though!</p>
<p>Save your essay as a PDF file and them upload it to the Common App. All of your typefaces will be preserved.</p>
