Hello, please chance me for UC/CSU

Hi, can you please estimate my chances for the following schools individually:
UCSD
UC Davis
UC Riverside
SDSU
CSUN

I tried parchment, prepscholar, etc. but prepscholar made me put in SAT and parchment did not seem accurate (waaay too optimistic I think)

Mainly worried about UCSD and UC Davis, Davis seems slightly easier but can be unpredictable. The rest are probably safeties but tell me what you think

Female, Korean, high income (120k+), live in high crime neighborhood in Orange County, in-state, large competitive public hs

Intended major: linguistics, international relations related

School gpa: 3.69/3.9
UC/CSU GPA: 3.88/4.21

Class rank 37/731 (top 5%)

SAT/ACT: none, couldn’t take because tests all got cancelled

AP classes: World History (5), US History (4), English Language (5), Bio (5), Spanish Language (in progress), US Gov (in progress), Stats (not taking test), English Lit (not taking test)

No honors classes besides honors econ this year
1 AP class in 10th grade, 3 in 11th, 4 in 12th

Extracurriculars: no leadership really
Culture Club member for 3 years, VIP member for 1
Aquarium teen volunteer program during summer, volunteered for 80 hour requirement
Volunteered at local library for 40-50ish hours total on and off between 10th and 11th
Collegevine Super Essay reviewer-- read other’s essays online and added feedback for improvement, at least 60 essays read
Volunteered at church VBS as counselor during summers up to 11th grade (covid ended it)
Nominated by teacher for interdisciplinary NOCROP ULP summer medical innovation program, 2 weeks, UC/CSU credit, received A in course, worked with tea to create and pitch sales product

Awards and honors:
AP Scholar with honors
Award of excellence from Spanish teacher
Award of excellence from civil law teacher

Essays: execution not great, overall quality wasn’t too good, but I wrote about my synesthesia, overcoming my fear of the street sweeper truck, and skipping a level of Spanish. Topics good but essays themselves probably weren’t. Crammed last minute, do not recommend.

Addtl. info:
Transitioned from 8th grade homeschool to 9th grade public hs, didn’t know a single thing, slacked off and got 2 C’s in freshman year because I was having trouble adjusting and didn’t know anything in college
Upward GPA trend, A’s and B’s in 10th, straight A’s in 11th, did well on all my AP tests
Talked spanish teacher into letting me skip a year of spanish (from lvl 1 to 3) so I could take AP spanish later, studied spanish 2 over summer, went to spanish 3, got an A, and am in AP spanish right now
Want to become lawyer

Strengths: class rank, AP scores
Weaknesses: essays, extracuriculars, could have taken more AP or honors classes

Since test scores are not a consideration, here is the criteria for CSUN and SDSU when evaluating Freshman applicants.

https://admissions.sdsu.edu/freshmen/apply

If your CSU capped weighted GPA is 4.21, then both look like Match schools.

For the UC’s, your GPA and HS course rigor look competitive so it will come down to your essays and EC’s.

2019 Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 4.20 or above capped weighted and not major specific:

UCSD: 71%

UCD: 84%

UCR: 97%

2020 UC capped weighted GPA averages along with 25th-75th percentile range:

UCB: 4.22 (4.13-4.30)

UCLA: 4.25 (4.18-4.31)

UCSD: 4.18(4.04-4.28)

UCSB: 4.17 (4.03-4.27)

UCI: 4.11 (3.96-4.26)

UCD: 4.11 (3.97-4.25)

UCSC: 3.94 (3.71-4.16)

UCR: 3.88 (3.65-4.11)

UCM: 3.68 (3.40-3.96)

I believe UCSD will be the tougher admit but you look qualified for all 3 UC’s. Unpredictability is going to be a huge factor this year, so I would have applied a bit more widely.

As long as you are a happy attending UCR, CSUN or SDSU, then you should be fine with your list.

You can also use this link which shows the average UC capped weighted GPA and the # of admits by UC campus from your High school. Just click on the different tabs for the information.

Best of luck.
