Hello!

Well, I’ve been lurking on the CC boards for about 2 years, and I’ve finally started posting. So, I decided that I should probably introduce myself.

Hi, everyone. My name is Amy. I’m 19. I graduated from high school in May 2004. I’m taking a year off, and I’m employed in the wonderful world of RETAIL! I’m a vegetarian and health nut. My favorite authors are Chuck Palahniuk and John Irving. As for music, I’m into Elliott Smith, Wilco, The Smiths, The Rolling Stones, and Neil Young.

I’m hoping to meet some new people to share my stress with while waiting for April 1st.

Later,
Amy

cool......

why'd you take a year off? were you accepted anywhere?

Nice to meet you Amy!

Elliot Smith!
Always nice to meet a fellow fan.

Wow I was just thinking of a hello thread, I don't even know why. Welcome to CC Amy. :)
By the way..do you know anyone who spells their name 'Aimee' or 'Aime' or 'Ami'?

I know someone who spells their name 'Aimee' and 'Aime', but I've never seen 'Ami'. I think Ami looks the coolest though.

My AP Chem teacher spells her name "Ami".

Not that that helps YOU or anything.

Slipstream- I actually went to Wooster for a part of the fall semester, but I left due to family problems. I lost my dad last year, and I really wasn't dealing with his death in a positive/healthy manner when I left for school. Last year I was accepted to Wooster and got a pretty big academic scholarship. This year I've been accepted to UMaine Honors, some local schools (Pittsburgh area), and I'm waiting to hear from The College of the Atlantic (my top choice).

Sarorah- My name in French Class was Aimee. I've never known anyone who spelled it Ami.

JJKitty- I love Elliott Smith. You can feel his emotions through his music.

Nice to meet all of you!

Amy, I do not not know anybody who will deal with the loss of a parent in a positive/healthy manner. It is probably the toughest thing you are ever going to have to deal with. I wish you all the best in your future. Good luck with your college applications and choice. Keep us posted!
