<p>I'm going to be a freshman in the honors electrical engineering program at UT austin this year.</p>
<p>so i'm thinking about starting research and I was wondering working well with which professors would give me a nice chance in getting into elite grad schools such MIT stanford caltech or berkeley.</p>

<p>Any research is good. Just make sure you start early. I’d recomend starting second semester of sophomore year. That way you have some of the intro courses under your belt. Focus on just doing well your freshman year. I know some kids who started doing research as early as first semester freshman year, but with the grades they ended up getting, god knows what the prof was actually letting them do.</p>
