I am currently in my senior year . Due to sudden change of events , my parents have decided to send me to the US for my undergrad studies . I am an above average student and I dream of attending an elite institution in the United States . Although , I face a problem ! . Since all this was too sudden , I did not know about the SAT. A few of my friends suggested this website to me. The main problem I face is that my dad , without asking me had registered for the SAT on October 10 , on the deadline day .

I have borrowed the Official SAT Guide and a rocket review book from my school Library.

Can someone help me out ? . Give me a few tips or maybe a revised or a well planned schedule ? (I am aware that there is no magic schedule , but if a good one has worked for someone . Please share it with me !)

I did not have time to read the thread that said read before posting as I literally have no time . (Please don't judge me .. i am not a lazy person)

Can some one tell me how to ace the SAT in such a short period of time (please refrain from being rude or sarcastic as I am really in trouble)

This is urgent as I literally have no time left .. Help me out !

“I did not have time to read the thread that said read before posting”

Therein lies your problem. I don’t care how desperate you are, start with the sticky. Besides, how is waiting days for replies faster than reading through the sticky???

I have been studying in an English medium school . But english is definately not my first language.

I am really worried … Is it possible to ace the SAT (I am obviously not dreaming of a 2400 , but definitely aiming for a 2000+ … Is it possible ? … please give me some tips )

Bigb14 - I read almost all the stickies , but most of them ask for days and days of practice (which is the key to success) but is there any way/method/strategy which I should/can follow in order to score as many points as possible ?

Well you obviously have some time, if you have time to study for the SAT, but i’ll help you out i guess.

Study Plan We can’t create one, because it should be designed to fit you. The more you practice taking the test, the better you’ll score, so take as many practice tests as you can

How to Study Xiggi’s method will probably be most helpful to you "1. Take 1-2 tests without time limit and with open books. Take your time to read the questions, answer it, and CHECK the answers, as you take the test. The idea is to make sure to understand all the terms. The score is far from relevant.

Take the following 2-3 tests without time limit but close the books. Now, You are on your own. After taking the test, check the answers and make sure to check ALL your answers, including the correct ones.

Take the next 2-3 tests, within the alloted time.

Take the last tests and try to shave a few minutes. Look for patterns, shortcuts. Soon enough, you’ll recognize problems in a few seconds. However, make sure you READ all the questions. Trying to save 5 seconds in that part is NOT wise. Remember that you do NOT have to finish all the problems. As soon as you can determine the BEST answer with certainty, you are DONE. Managing your time wisely is the key to a great score. This comes from practice. " Be sure to review every answer wrong and right after scoring your test

lastly There is no way to ace the SAT in a short amount of time, i’m sorry. It’s going to take a lot of effort but if you do the steps above you’ll probably score pretty decently and score 200-400 points higher than you would without doing the method.it is possible to “ace” the SAT, but probably not in your amount of time.

Also remember that there is plenty of schools which will accept you even if you don’t score a 2000+ on the SAT. It seems like you’re more of an ego person who expects an ivy league, but you may have to go somewhere less prestigious first, and then transfer if you still want that prestigious diploma.

First, categorize what you deem to be your weakest category, whether it is by how confident you are in that subject or what score range you seem to be getting in ur practice tests. In terms of time it takes to improve scores in a subject, it takes the least amount of time to bring up writing, then math, and then Critical Reading. Once you are scoring above the 700 mark on a subject, it is usually very difficult to improve, unless you were always strong in that area and just need to brush up a little for that 800. For all three sections, the best way to improve is to PRACTICE (of course in conjunction with the xiggi method, but even “mindless” practice can still help).

Look, if you want to boost your score significantly in a week, it’s not going to happen. The advice you need is in the stickies, and bumping this thread isn’t going to get you anywhere.
