I've been a lurker for a while, and this seems like a worthy entry for a first post. =)

Basically, I've graduated high school, and I just realized - now - that I'd like to get a paid internship or do an unpaid internship related to the sciences. I've always been interested in science, but I did summer programs more related to the humanities b/c I wanted to focus on that to get me into college. Yes, that sounds bad, but don't worry- my punishment has come b/c now, I'm at a complete loss for what to do. Hah.

I was thinking about asking around for unpaid legal internships, but I've already been interning in a law office for a while, and I'm semi-tired of it. I'd like to intern in something related to bio/medicine/general science, but now that I'm searching, I'm finding internships that are either just for undergrads or that are for high schoolers- but the deadlines are all past.

What should I do? Just search for unpaid legal internships? Do you think there will be any paid internships - in any field - out there? I also need money, and the retail job market... eh, not so good around here. Do you know any science internships whose deadlines haven't passed yet?

Any help would be appreciated!
