Help a NOOB choseee!

Hey guys!

I really need yall's advice to help me pick a school!
I have narrowed my list down to
1. UPenn Vagelos Life Science and Management where I'll get to work on a degree from Wharton along with a degree in bio/biochem/chem/etc.
2. Rice
3. Texas will only cost about 5 k per year, and since English is my second language, I think I'll get to take the English pre med requirements at a local community college.
4. Cornell

Option 1 sounds really attractive because of Wharton(I hope I won't fall in love with it), however, I'm a bit worried about the grade deflation at Wharton and the pre med classes at Penn. Also, as I've mentioned before, English is my second language, working on two degrees may be really tough while preparing for the MCAT.

Option 2 Rice is great for Pre Med and I remember seeing that 35% of the Rice graduating seniors go to medical school. I heard there is a lot of grade inflation there and I got some merit based scholarship. It's also located near the Texas Medical Center so I guess it might help if I want to do research, volunteer, or even shadowing.

Option 4. It seems like Cornell has terrible grade deflation and just generally not a good place for pre med, that's why it's down the list.

Any suggestions about my choices?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

This is not an advantage. In fact it’s rather a severe disadvantage if they make you do this.

And regarding this:

Do you think doing PreMed with the dual degree at Penn is a good idea?
Will getting a degree from Wharton help med school apps like being a humanities major?
Or is it better if I just focus on my PreMed requirements and the MCAT at a place like Rice or Texas?

1.) I do. That (or Rice) is the option I recommend.
2.) Since humanities majors don’t help – you can see the statistics for yourself – I don’t know how to answer your question.
3.) MCAT studying takes a couple of months at most, so obviously that won’t matter based on what else you’re doing. The question is whether you think you can get good grades. And obviously that’s a question that nobody else can answer for you.
