To qualify for the Gates Millenium scholarship, you have to be eligible for the Pell Grant. I dont know if i qualify for that.. so i dont wanna waste time writing 10 essays for something i'm not eligible for..
my family income is 71,000 per year.. and i have a twin brother.. so next year both of us are going to college (probably stanford and some ivy school)
Does anyone know if i'm qualified for Pell Grant??
Thanks

A basic overview is here Federal Pell Grant . Based on the income criteria stated, my guess is you would probably not be eligible for a Pell.

sry for stealin the thread but do you have to apply for a pell grant or are you automatically considered for one when you apply for fafsa (and meet the pell grant requirements)?

You don't "apply for fafsa". You complete the FAFSA which is then sent to your colleges where the financial aid awards are determined and dispersed. Your eligibility for a Pell grant will be made on the basis of the information on the FAFSA.
