<p>Sorry for asking, but what is the difference between SUNY and CUNY?</p>

<p>The CUNY system is located in New York City and the SUNY campuses are located throughout the state. Often times, SUNY schools are found in more rural areas. CUNY is very urban. Usually CUNYs offer very little housing options or have nothing whatsoever. SUNY schools are mostly residential colleges. Each campus/system has its own strengths and weaknesses! What are you interested in studying? Preferences for location or size?</p>
<p>I think the Honors kids get treated like princes at CUNY. A Daughter of a friend of mine got in to the combines BS/MD program at CUNY (Sophie Davis program) and she was told plenty of housing for the honors kids. CUNYs are building more housing --so bottom line, I wouldnt count on it, but worth a shot. You should know by the time you have to commit.</p>
