im having a lot of trouble with spanish this year because i skipped a year (spanish 5 hon) and went into ap. im also only taking it 3 days a week, because i expected spanish 5. so im doing very bad, especially with the listening and speaking parts. this class is bringing my gpa down. any advice on how to improve?

The only easy answer is to drop the class. Why did you skip Spanish 5 if you weren't ready for AP Spanish? There are CDs out there for AP language prep, there are all sorts of books that you can independently study, and there are tutors who would be happy to help you with the course. There are no magic answers, though, for languages: your knowledge just builds over time by being exposed to the language.

I don't understand why you would take the AP exam this year if you aren't prepared for it.

i just didnt realize how much harder the class would be. the past two years of spanish were a breeze. 98-100 final grade and on the midterms/finals. the teacher didn't have a problem with it and he said there was nothing much from spanish 5 that i would need to work/catch up on.
