Hello, I am a transfer applicant that has recently applied to Columbia University. Last year I applied as a perspective freshman and was rejected.

Now, as a transfer applicant I sent in 1 ACT score (34) and 3 quite good SAT II Subject test scores (800 Bio M, 790 Lit, 760 Math II), one of which was a new test that I took this past january and one of which was a retake for a higher score.

On the application status portal it states that they have received ALL of the scores from both freshman application and transfer application. This is not ideal as last year my SAT was less stellar (2240 super-ed, less than that 2150 un-super-ed at my highest) and i had one terrible subject test score (540...bad test day I suppose). The reason I even sent this in was because Columbia required ALL TEST SCORES TAKEN at least for Freshman admission. For Transfer admissions, this did not seem to be the case.

Anyway, my new scores are much much better and a more accurate reflection of me as a student at this point. Will these old (inferior) scores hurt me as an applicant?

I am aware that the admissions process is holistic but I am slightly concerned. Other schools only indicate on their admissions portals taking into account the scores I sent them this year.

-Thanks for the aid.
