I am currently a sophomore in high school. I'm from New York.
I plan on becoming a neonatal nurse. I want to major in nursing and become an RN first.
My top choices include: UCONN, UMASS-Amherst, MCPHS, and Seton Hall Univ.
My reach is Boston College.

My school schedule this year:
Algebra 2/Trig
Earth Science (i took biology last year)
Global 10
Spanish II
Orchestra
Health

Next year I plan on taking:
Calculus (taking pre-calc over the summer)
AP English Language
US History Honors
Chemistry Honors
Orchestra

**I plan on dropping spanish next year. will that be okay?

also, I did horrible on my psat's. around the 1400's. i have lost all hope. my current gpa is 3.7

should i take the sat's or the act's? or both?
i've been practicing the act's because i feel like it'll be easier for me.

help please! i'm trying to plan my future!

If you can maintain that GPA and score a 30 on the ACTS, I’ll say you’re in at UMASS and MCPHS. Probably UCONN, too.

Take an SAT prep course.

Do not drop Spanish. Take at least a third year of it. A lot of schools require 3. Keep up the gpa and take a prep course or practice books on the sat. Take a practice test of the act to see if you naturally score higher.

Should I take both ACTs and SATs?
I’m taking SAT math section prep courses not english because I feel like english is something you need to practice on your own (also because how much classes are)
UCONN is like… my dream school.

Okay, I’ll keep taking spanish until next year (Spanish III)

Do you think honors classes are important?
