Our daughter is in love with three Boston schools -

1 Boston University - 18K - very friendly and passionate students - lots of passion for excellence evident - great location

2 Clark College - 2K - LAC with research opportunities and great overseas programs

3 Boston College - 9K - beautiful and passionate about learning - Jesuit which is more discussion based and big picture oriented

No colleges in CA are jumping out at her except Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount. She doesn't want to be just a number - would prefer 3 -10K - private or public ok - thinks she wants to study business or creative writing but really undecided. Also interested in psychology. Excellent with children. Wants a college close to an interesting urban environment - preferably with good public transportaiton to interesting spots.

Would love some ideas, especially for maybes and safeties! So far, we have just begun to investigate:
Santa Clara University
University of San Francisco
San Jose State
University of San Diego
Pepperdine (loves it, but again a reach)
Loyola Marymount (loves it, but again a reach)

Please oh please - would love to have her a little closer to home, although not in Orange County - that would be TOO close :) for her.
