<p>I just accessed the Boston University Supplement and it states this:</p>
<p>"To what other colleges and universities are you applying?"</p>
<p>Do I have to answer that? It also states that the info won't be used in the admission process...but I'm paranoid that it will.</p>

<p>One of my schools at the bottom of the list asked me this question too, and I don’t know how to answer it either because I don’t want to put down any Ivy League or other top schools. So I’m currently thinking only write down a few safe schools like UCs and maybe one reach school, but then I think I ought to write down all the schools for the sake of honesty.</p>
<p>I answered it truthfully (though, I suppose, only one university in my list was “higher” than BU), and I was accepted.</p>
<p>I think you’ll be fine, as long as you don’t fill the list with HYPS and the other Ivies and make them think they’re your absolute safety (in which case, you won’t mention all of them on your application).</p>
