I noticed that on BU’s supplement they ask for the other colleges you are applying to. Is there a reason for this? Can it hurt you? Do you need to list the other schools you are applying to?

I put the other schools I was applying to, and I still got in. If I had to guess the reason, it’s probably because they want to see who their competitors are. Also, no, you don’t have to do it.

I did not list a single one of them and I still got in. I think it’s only for statistical purposes.

It is. It’s so they can adjust advertising, target groups etc etc.

can’t it hurt you though if you list like more selective schools and they think they are being used as a safety… (even though that is not my case hah)

and this might sound really really stupid but on one of their short answers that they wanted u to respond in 5 or 6 sentences, if I wrote 4 does that look bad? haha… even though they are 4 long sentences (just about ran out of room in text box).

no it’s fine. don’t stress.

haha okay thanks
