Can somebody please help me calculate my W and UW GPAs?

9th grade (final grades):
Math B H: 95
English 9H: 95
Chemistry H: 96
Global IH: 98
Spanish 2H: 99
Computer (not sure if this counts, transcript says 1 credit but IDK): 98

New school:

10th grade:
World Lit H B|B
Global IIH B+|B+
Pre-calc RSH B+|A
AP Physics B B+|B+|A|A+
Spanish 9H A|A

11th grade:
American Lit H C|B+|-|-
US H A+|-
AP Calc BC A|A|-|-
AP Physics C A|A+|-|-
Spanish 10H B+|-

Old school is on a 0-100 scale
New school is on an A+,A,B+,B,C+,C,D,F scale.
Anything with 2 fields is graded by the semester, 4 by the quarter.

Thanks a lot!

Oh yea, I forgot one for 11th grade:

Science Research Seminar A+|-

Obviously, there is no set GPA scale to tell you what college would consider. But, after calculating your data 'my' way, I have come up with
0-100 scale - 93.5 UW 98.2 W
0-4.0 - 3.788 UW 4.0W (I dont believe in over 4.0 GPA's, nor do I believe in +100 averages).
Note that this is assuming you will mantain ur current 11th grade grades for the rest of this year.

at my school, it would go like this: 3.765 UW, 4.265 W, assuming your current grades remain what they were for the beginning of the year

itla_uno, what is the weighted GPA out of?

Thanks lot for your help, both of you.

Can somebody calculate it not taking into account the freshman year?

The two transcripts will be sent separately.

um....im not sure you should put a weighted gpa if your school doesnt weight. then it would seem like your pulling the gpa out of your ass.

It's just for comparison's sake. I will not actually submit it to colleges.

Also, is that unweighted GPA out of 4 or 4.33?

the way I calculated it (and the way it is done at my school is this:

UNWEIGHTED
A=4.0
B=3.0
C=2.0
D=1.0
F=0.0

(we don't have +/-, so I'm not quite sure how those work)

Generally, I think unweighted = out of 4.0

WEIGHTED is like this:

"Regular" level
A=4.0
B=3.0
C=2.0
D=1.0
F=0.0

Honors level
A=4.5
B=3.5
C=2.5
D=1.5
F=0.0

AP level
A=5.0
B=4.0
C=3.0
D=2.0
F=0.0

most colleges will recalculate your GPA when you apply though. They might only count certain courses (for example, my high school counts gym in the GPA, my college does not) and they may weight it differently. Your school will send a profile with your transcript explaining how GPAs are calculated for them and what the weighting system is, if any.

some schools do it out of 5 for AP?
That's interesting.

What is yours? I've heard everything from 4.0 - 4.33 - 4.5 - 5.0 - 6.0... no wonder weighted GPAs are pointless
