HELP! can i still qualify for the pell grant???

My parents have just finished the paperwork and whatever else for 2010. so tomorrow I will update my fafsa. When we filled in the fafsa before, we had used estimates. My parents income went WAY DOWN for 2010, so on our estimates we made too much to qualify. After I update it, can I qualify at my school (arizona state univ.) for the Pell grant? we went from an income that was too high to qualify on our estimate to (adjusted gross income) $32,000, and I have one sibling currently in college.

On ASU's website it said that you have to have your fin. aid info in by March 1st to get grants, and we weren't able to have that done in time, so I am worried that I might not get any grants, plus I'm out of state so I don't know how that will affect things. Any input would be very helpful because all of this financial aid stuff has been very confusing!

So basically, how bad is it that we had been late in getting in the fafsa and are now late in updating it as well? And do you think I can still get the Pell and a grant from ASU even though I didn't meet the deadline?

You can still get your full Pell grant and you can still get federal loans up to $5,500 for your first year. That’s federal money and it is available to you no matter what the school’s deadline is. (There’s a federal deadline but it is sometime next year.) However, it might be too late to get school grant money. You need to talk to ASU to see if they still have school grant money available.

If you filed FAFSA with estimated numbers by March 1st you may still be OK - complete your FAFSA as quickly as possible.

So I can at least count on getting $5500 of Pell Grant money? If I accepted the fin. aid offer that they first gave me, will the offer still be able to change when they receive the updated version?

If you are eligible for a full Pell, you will still get it.
