My son has degrees in applied math and econ, from Berkeley. He is currently working on his Master degree in Financial Econ in UK. He doesn't have much intern or other job experiences. I wonder what are the areas he should be looking for his first job? How is the job market now for fresh graduates? Thanks.

Finance is the most obvious place to look.

I’m surprised he doesn’t have any good internship or job experience. Berkeley has excellent on campus recruiting and all the top companies recruit there(consulting, banking, corporate finance etc.)

I can’t tell him which area to get a job in but what is he interested in? Investment banking? Consulting? Quant. roles?
