Initially, I registered for the chem and world SAT, but I'm not feeling confident about history at all. As in, I can't even get above a 700 at this point. Should I just switch to math I? I'm taking math II next year so math I is kind of pointless, but at least I can guarantee a good score.

I was also thinking about taking world and then cancelling my score afterwards, but then found out that I'd have to cancel my chemistry score, too.

Well, since CollegeBoard doesn’t do refunds- have you taken practice tests in World History? If you’re scoring below what you think is acceptable, go ahead and switch to Math I (which, just warning you, has a very small curve- and performing badly might make colleges raise some eyebrows). Take a practice test (or part of one) just to be sure you’re not going to score badly in Math I.

You need a math/science/humanities subject test in college apps, though, so have you thought about the English subject test?

And are you expecting to apply to any colleges that don’t allow you to use Score Choice (common examples are Stanford and the Ivies- but MIT doesn’t care iirc)? If not, then just take World History because you can cover up the score if you do poorly.
