Okay so the fields I want to be in are, Marketing, Advertising, public relations. I know these all interconnect in some way or another, but I can’t choose. Marketing would technically be the best choice because it’s more general and would give more opportunities for jobs, but I really want to go to a school in New York City because the schools there will have more opportunities for internships and experienced people are right around the corner. The two schools I am considering are NYU and FIT (fashion Institute of Technology). I went to the NYU open house and I wasn’t really a fan. They’re really expensive, and the reasons they gave to go to the school were all unoriginal and things I could easily find at other schools. The only truly unique opportunity were their abroad study programs which isn’t a priority for me in any needs. Also it’s really hard to get into and I do not excel at school but I’m pretty decent. (Honors and AP classes with a B/A average) FIT on the other hand seems to have a really unique marketing program that ties Advertsing, and Marketing Communications together into one program with plenty of internship opportunities. My only concern is that since it’s a fashion school the degree will limit my opportunities for a job after college. I don’t really mind the apparent dead college campus life as I prefer being alone. If anybody wants to help me out with my concerns with these colleges or suggest another one. It doesn’t have to match all my preferences, I’m pretty reasonable and I can compromise.
??? This site is for an MBA (Masters in Business Administration). It appears that you are in high school and applying to a college to get a BA or BS degree. You might consider posting in an undergraduate business or other major site. Be specific with a question instead of rambling on.
