I am planning on sending only my 31 ACT score to more selective schools such as Boston U and UMich, but to schools like American and GWU, where my SAT scores are still within the middle 50%, I would like to submit both my ACT and SAT scores.
How do I send a Common App with just the ACT on it to some schools and a Common App with both tests to others?
ALSO, if I got a really good writing score (7/8/7) on the new SAT, is it worth sending the whole thing even though the other scores are bad (1350, then 1960 on Old). I do not know my writing score on the ACT yet, but I expect it to be good as well (had 36 E and 35 R).
First, most schools want official score reports in addition to your Common App. You need to send these from the Collegeboard and ACT websites.
Second, you can simply revise the Common App to show the scores you want, submit it to one school, then revise it again with a different combination of scores and submit it to another school. You can do this as many times as you want.
Finally, yes, send the writing score if it will help when it is superscored.
@collegeboundrva thank you so much! Do you think it is alright if I do not put my ACT writing score in for now (havent gotten yet writing score yet; december act) and still send the official score report, as the college will clearly see the writing score there?
Yep, that’s the best thing to do
