Hello All, I need a little help. I am currently a sophomore at DePaul University. I am majoring in Computer Science with a Concentration in Software Engineering and I hate it here! I am so miserable. When people ask me how is DePaul my response is always "It's okay". At first I thought it was just the sophomore slump but I am losing my passion for computer science here and none of the information from the classes are sticking with me and I feel like I'm being hindered from a great education. The thing that is so unfortunate about the way that I feel is that DePaul has given me enough money to cover the majority of my tuition to stay there, I also have a good job and I am living well, but I am not happy and I know this is a blessing and I feel selfish and inconsiderate because someone else could be where I am today.

On the other hand, I've been to UIUC and I was so much happier there and I was just visiting a friend. I felt like I loved computer science again just asking the students how their classes were going and there is so much for students to do. By DePaul being so expensive we don't have enough to do and all of the clubs that DePaul has are inactive! there is no student life there! at uiuc these students are involved and their education is way better! These students are even being tutored. If DePaul had more reliable tutors, I feel I would have done better in certain courses.

I am seriously considering transferring here to finish my last two years of college and I wouldn't care if I had to spend extra time because I want to be the best computer scientist/ software engineer I can be, I don't want a half developed education. yes. I understand the consequences of transferring and more money and debt, but I really am unsure of what to do. Stay at DePaul where I'm unhappy and barely learning or transfer to UIUC where I can receive better education and understand the material better?

Am I making the right choice by considering transferring?
Please help.
Thank you all so much in advanced
