Hello, I am a junior in high school with ADHD, but I’m not medicated for it. Does anybody know of any strategies to sit still and concentrate for 3 hours? I have taken it before and I got a 1220 but I need to get a 1400. I know material pretty well but I haven’t taken a full practice test yet because when I take one, the first section burns me out and I can’t do any more. Does anybody have this kind of experience?
I don’t have experience with your problem but I would suggest trying to do some of the smaller sections of the practice test and increasing your endurance each day. I would also suggest not timing yourself and see if you can score 1400 under perfect conditions before judging whether you know the material. You should also strategize about just conquering the math or the English and plan on taking it twice. Super scoring is your best chance.
Thanks for the response. I’ve been taking one practice test every two or so weeks to increase endurance and its going pretty well. My score has went from 1220 to 1380 to 1420, and I’m still skipping questions and putting in random answers, so I think I have potential to do very well.
Is there a reason you are not taking medication, given that it is very difficult to get past the first section without feeling burned out? How is your stamina for school and homework?
^Edit to my previous post: just noticed that the date of your Original post was in September. Are you now able to get through an entire timed practice test in one sitting, or are you practicing the tests without Keeping to a strict timing?
