Class Rank: 1/572
GPA: 3.97 UW, 4.54 W
ACT: 27
SAT: Not that great... 620, 620, 590
Classes: I've taken or I'm taking pretty much all the AP classes offered at my school and Honors classes.
EC: Varsity tennis 4 years, NHS, StuCo 4years, volunteer at hospital and church, and other things that I just don't feel like typing at the moment...

I guess I'm wondering if I've got any chance at all since I know my SAT scores aren't that great and I just go to a public school in Indiana. I love Vanderbilt though and it's my dream school. But can I make it a reality? Any advice would reallly be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, I'm a Senior now. No I haven't been in contact with the tennis coach. I'm not sure that I'm good enough to play college tennis, but I guess that's something to think about! Haha.

Your test scores aren't amazing for someone applying to vandy, but ur gpa and class rank and all ur other stuff are REALLY good, ur the val. out of 500plus kids with a 3.97gpa, thats amazing. I would say you have a very good chance at being accepted, the only thing is, you should go for an interview and try to explain why your test scores are so low, as compared with your other stats.

they understand that some people are just bad at standardized tests

Thanks for replying! I just realized that I typed my unweighted gpa wrong and it's actually a 3.93, but I don't think that really matters all that much since it's practically the same haha. And thanks for the advice on doing an interview, I'll look into that.
