@sunny I didn’t realize that you weren’t admitted into English at UCLA. Since it’s impacted, then there might be a chance that you won’t be able to switch. If the counselor said that it’s possible though, then I would believe her. If you feel that nervous about it, then I would go for Cal. Their English program is top notch as well. If your heart is set on LA though, then I’m sure you will make it happen. :)

@newchapter: thank you for input~~ (’: youre so nice haha!

:T yes I’m going to trust what the counselor (she sounded pretty convincing & when I asked her to confirm the switching-in-winter-quarter thing, she told me the same exact thing as when I met with her in person ) says but it’s scary that my entire decision is pretty much based off of her words haha n_n;;; but yeah not gonna SIR just yet… ><;; just in case… I suddenly change my mind oo

Picked UCLA! When it came down to it, I realized that the only thing keeping me from SIRing was Cal’s prestige. The campus is beautiful and the student body is amazing, but I don’t think I can be happy with the surrounding area and weather - unfortunately, environment is a huge factor and is almost directly correlated to my motivation.

Also, I can specialize in computing under Communication Studies, which sounds great, as I was also waffling because Cal offered a Comp Sci minor and UCLA didn’t. At the same time, I’m going to try and pick up the accounting minor.

At the end of the day, you can’t go wrong with either school. I’d love to hear others report back in as well! I hope you all feel the sigh of relief and contentment that I feel, having finally chosen.
