What kind of school would you want: big/small, public/private, which state?

i'd like to go either in the south or the east coast and i'm open to a big or small state
oh and i forgot mention that on my practice PSAT (from sophomore year - i'm taking the PSATs in the fall) i got a 171 (but thats with absolute no studying and staying out really late the night before so i can definitely bring it up)

oh and i want a school where i can study abroad for a semester in europe :)

please help! :)

and a school with an active student life, events, ect. (i want to have fun on my campus! :) )

Syracuse, Marist, Ithaca and Quinnipiac are all strong in communicaitons.

thanks :)
do you think i've got a shot at:
emory, elon, vanderbilt, or university of virginia?

What is your unweighted GPA? B? B+? Roughly where do you stack up in your class? Top 10%? Top 20%?

I would think that U VA as an OOS student is highly unlikely, Emory and Vandy very much reaches, but you have a good shot at Elon.

i think i'm in the top 10%, definitely top 20%

Emerson is good for communications. Apply to U Mass, obviously. Unless money is no object, research the costs and figure out how you are going to pay.
