So I currently am a senior in a “prestigious” private school in Texas. My school only sends in weighted GPAs, doesn’t allow anyone below junior year to take AP’s, and doesn’t have class ranks. I’m trying to use my extracurriculars and “upward trend” to appeal to colleges since I started freshman year with a 3.5, sophomore year with a 4.0, and junior year with a 4.5, which brings my GPA prior senior year to a 4.0/4.0 flat. However, my first trimester of my senior year dropped a little again to a 4.42. I’m applying ED to UPenn, and now I’m really worried about my chances. Could someone help me figure out how much this drop will affect my chances? Thanks!
4.5 to a 4.42 will not at all affect your chances. It’s not even a tenth and it improves your overall GPA anyway.
If you’re applying to Penn ED, why are you asking this on the Tufts page?
