I applied to a college early action (University of Michigan) and then when checking the app status found out that I never sent my June ACT scores! I already have 2 SAT scores (2060,2040) and 1 ACT score sent to them (a 27).

I'm planning to send in my June ACT Score (30)now and just risk not being early action because I already indicated on the app that I took the ACT in June.

So before I act on that, does anyone have a better course of action or advice?

I know. I know. This is all due to my own stupidity. And my scores are low for Michigan.

I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks.

First, a 30 ACT = 2000 SAT, i.e., it is consistent with your two very consistent SAT scores, so your 30 doesn’t improve your test score situation. [Estimated Relationship between ACT Composite Score and SAT CR+M+W Score](http://www.act.org/aap/concordance/estimate.html) Because of that, I wouldn’t worry about when it arrives.

Second, go ahead and order the score report. Do not spend extra money to order rush for two reasons: 1-as stated, time is not of the essence for your early action review because the score doesn’t improve your presentation, and 2-because Michigan bans rush paper scores and will not expedite review of rush electronic scores.

Third, when you order the score report, print to PDF or make a screenshot of the June score of 30 as you view it online and copy and save it as an image file. Then look at the confirming email. I would forward the email confirming your score report order to admissions, and if the confirming email doesn’t show the 30 score–just that you ordered a score report, then attach the PDF or image file that reflects the score. When you transmit this by email to admission, be sure to change the subject title of your email message so it isn’t FWD: blahblahblah <act’s title=“”>, but something like Early Action Applicant <your name=“”> ACT score report and then in your transmittal message, simply indicate when checking your app status online, you discovered you had mistakenly overlooked that score report order and immediately, on __ date, ordered the June report. Reference the confirmation email from ACT below showing that your June ACT test score of 30 will be delivered (and, if necessary because the email doesn’t show the actual score of 30, reference the attached PDF or image file confirming your self-reported 30).</your></act’s>

Hope that made sense. (I made it more confusing than it needs to be only because I’ve never seen an ACT score report confirmation email, so I don’t know what exactly is reflected!)

Fourth, for peace of mind, you could also call them to alert them you’ve ordered the missing report, ask that they note that in your file and find out whether that missing report is holding up their review.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! It made everything a lot clearer. I sent my June ACT scores ASAP yesterday.
