Help from Australia

Hi

I am a student currently studying in Australia at the University of Queenslad in Brisbane, Australia.
I am currently enrolled in a bachelor of Commerce/Business Management where I will major in finance, accounting and business economics.
I am also tossing up transferring to Commerce/economics where I will major in finance and business and industry.
I am wondering if having three majors is of much benefit when studying Business Management as it is most likely seen as a ‘lower’ course than economics.
I would like to go on and study a CFA, Masters Econometrics/Applied Finance in Melbourne as well.
I would like to work in the finance industry so in your opinions is an economics degree as useful as having three majors even if I may be studying business management?

Thanks for your help

Hey @benhelp ,

I’m not sure what UQ’s admission stats are or how well known they are for their business program domestically, but the decision to take finance vs econ vs general business mgmt usually depends on the strength of curriculum for that track. The number of majors really doesn’t have much bearing on your career applications, I think finance & econ would be best suited for you.
