Hello, thx for reading this, i am transfering this fall from a small town in southern cali. i want to rent a house with my friends and here are my qs:

1.how much does it cost to rent a house/ap with 2 beds? (within 20 miles or 25 minutes driving, cheaper the better of course.)

2.is it cheaper for you to live off campus than the ones you know who live in the studenthall.

3.what's the parking fee/ per semester ( assume i go to school 3 times a week)

4.how is the weather? (dumb question, but how do you like it up there? - i live near LA)

5.regarding SHIP or the student health insurance, is it any good? (i guess the doctors have to deal with ALOT of students, so i am wondering if they are helpful)

craigslist is waycoool, tx smallz3141, but how is the weather, really caz a number alone doesnt tell me if it rains alot, if it's ever sunny..etc

wheather is kinda crazy. foggy, chilly at times, some rain, sunny in the afternoon, its like cali but it actually rains every once in a while. LOL.

i was there for CalDay weekend and its just like LA of course a little colder in the morning and rains every so often. i liked it.

friend rents. pays $470 for 2 bedroom apt. rents with a friend so rent total is about $900. really cheap. 5 minutes away from Cal. nice big apartment, bathroom, kitchen, living room, plus parking in garage. dorms are really expensive, useful to make friends quickly but secret fees pop up at the end of semester, like phone bill, etc.

parking fees are REALLY expensive i heard. but it you work at Cal, it gets really cheap or even free.

DFDSLX0988: The phone fee is not a "secret fee." It's in the housing contract and everyone knows (or should) know about it. There's no "secret fees." Geez..
