<p>I want to transfer from a community college to Uni of WA-Seattle after only 1 year at the CC. Will I make it?

<p>The best person to speak with will be the CC transfer advisor/counselor. That’s their job. Good luck to you.</p>

<p>Out of state might help because they are accepting more for budget balancing reasons. High school grades are not up to par for U of W nor are SAT scores. College grades are much better, so that should help. However, the UW accepts Washington State Community College kids under some kind of transfer agreement and is getting really full for CC transfer students. The competition will likely be very stiff. There are also many students trying to transfer for UW Bothell to the main Seattle campus. I would check their web sit for more specifics on tranfer requirements and what they consider. Again, out of state might give you a bump if you are considered in a different “quota” pool, but otherwise it could be tough just due to numbers of in-state CC transfer applicants.</p>
