Write everyday for about 5 minutes.

Well, you do need to review grammar rules. Some things you just need to buckle down and study and practice. I don’t mean to be cliche, but your attitude and way of looking at it affects your success a lot. You are obviously very good at math. Why don’t you try looking at grammar and writing a little differently? Try to looking at grammar as a “formula” for a correctly-written sentence. Grammar is really all about the logical flow of thought of a particular language. Just like mathematical formulas, which outline the rules by which you must solve math problems, grammar is a set of rules that outline how you must solve the literary problem of “getting your point coherently and efficiently across.”

Google my article “how to write an essay if you’re better at math” for a more in-depth look at applying math to writing and grammar…. it will be on straightatutoring dot com. You can also read the two-part series on parts of speech “How to Write An Essay – English Grammar Rules – Parts of Speech: Pt 1” and “How to Write An Essay – English Grammar Rules – Parts of Speech: Pt 2.” In these articles, I explicitly compare the common parts of speech to a mathematical formula. This approach is a little unorthodox, but give a try - maybe it will help!
