APUSH-3
AP English Lit- 3

It seems that no matter what I do, all I can get on AP exams are 3s. Last year, on my AP Euro exam I got a 3.

On one hand, I'm pleased that I pass. But on the other hand, I feel I can't improve. It's like I'm suck in a hole. I am mainly interested in acting and film work. Does my constant score consistency really matter too much?

Also, I feel I could have done much better in English Lit if I didn't have the teacher I did. Half the time he had no idea what he was talking about. He was a nasty person who berated and insulted us students. Thank God he was fired.

Any advice?

Those are good scores. 3 is the “qualified” score, according to College Board.
In terms of college admission, AP scores shouldn’t matter too much. It’s definitely not a game-changer. (AP scores are supposed to be for class placement only, not admission)
Speaking of your academic abilities, your performance in high school will not necessarily translate into that in college.

It has been shown (I’m sure you will easily find data somewhere) that students w/ high SAT scores/GPA in high school doesn’t outperform others in college.

On a side note, I think it’s really nice that you have interest in something (acting/film)… I hope you follow your heart and enjoy success.
