I got an admissions letter from Penn State saying I could not be accepted to UP because of the number of applicants. Then it says on another paper that my college/major is The Smeal College of Business but the campus is at Schuykill. I'm confused. I wanted to go to University Park. Is Schuykill any good...what does this all mean? I'm a stupid piece of turd?

no takers....18 PEOPLE AND NO TAKERS????

I'd give them a phone call ASAP. They have a very nice and helpful staff that will answer your question with a lot more certainty than anyone here. This isn't the place to ask a question like that either! That's some serious business that should be handled by the college and the college only... hopefully you got into UPark, I might be seeing you there next year! Let us know.

My guess, either Smeal college of business is the name of their business program at all their campuses (but I don't think that's the case), or they made an error when giving a list of acceptances to consider for U Park's Smeal... meaning they gave them your application thniking it was an acceptance to U Park but it was to another campus (most likely).

Best of luck,
Ry

Okay, I applied to UP as well, and listed Erie as my second choice. And ..I got accepted to Erie. They list Smeal as your college because they expect you to go to Schuykill for 2 years then go to UP for the last two years. It's the program thing they run, go to a smaller campus for 2 years, and last 2 years to UP. I think you have to be really smart to get in to UP or just high SATs and GPA.
