I wanna have at least two reaches when I apply.

Rising Senior (Class of 2009)

GPA: 3.4 UW, 3.8-3.9 W

3.8 UW 2nd semester of Junior year
(Huge upward trend from Freshman Year)

Taken 1 AP (U.S. History an got an A), and some honors classes

Senior Schedule: AP English Literature, AP European History, AP Stats, AP Enviornmental Science, Managerial College Accounting, Trig/Precalc

ACT: 30 (33E, 29M, 32R, 24R) gonna retake in September hoping for (32+)

ECs:
-Golf is my passion: although I not the best at it, I've done a bunch of activities involving golf (might even talk about it in my essays)
-Golf JV (9-10), V (11)
-DECA (10-11)
-P.E. Leader (10-11)
-Tutor (11) (got 100+ hours)
-Track JV (9-10)
-Band (9-10)
-Theater Crew (9)

I'm not exactly sure what I wanna major in, but I'm pretty sure I wanna do something with Business, maybe Accoutning or Marketing.

Northwestern sounds like a great reach for you. U Michigan is good, too. You've probably ruled out U Chicago. If you are willing to travel, look at Brandeis, NYU Stern, Rice, Vanderbilt.

it looks like your list is heavily populated with Big Ten schools, im assuming you want to stay in the midwest. Michigan and Northwestern are good reaches. In the West Coast, USC and UCLA. In the east coast, NYU Stern. Your chances will definitely improve if you get that ACT=32 that you're shooting for. Good luck funployee.

I think Vandy is a good suggestion. My friend whose son is attending said she got the impression that being Jewish might be a slight "tip" (although maybe it was being from CA.)

Why isn't Colgate on your list? Larger LAC with Div. 1 sports and I think it has one of the five top college golf courses, as rated by Golf Digest. Due to a low admission rate (under 30 percent), you could consider it a reach.
